Event: The Drafting of China Energy Law

Perhaps one of the most important laws that will go into place this year, I highly suggest that anyone in Beijing next Thursday go to this EU Chamber event (h/t Renminbi)

The new Energy Law is still in the drafting process and has been posted for public comments. The enforcement of the new Energy Law is scheduled to become effective as early as April, 2008. The draft rules provide detailed information, definitions and interpretations on how to develop new types of energy sources, energy utilization and management.


The European Chamber is pleased to welcome Prof. Wu Zhonghu, Secretary General of Energy Law Research Society and Mr. Joerg Wuttke, President of the European Chamber, who will provide opening remarks and Dr. Xavier Chen, Chair of the Energy WG, who will monitor and provide closing comments.

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations, no-shows who fail to cancel before this time will be invoiced for the event.

Registrations done after the deadline will be accepted only if space permits and are charged an additional 50 RMB walk-in fee. Please note that registration starts at 08.10am.

The seminar starts at 08.30am and the door will close at 08.40am. Fees will be collected in cash at the entrance.
