90,000 Killed in Auto Accidents
Thursday, March 6, 2008 12:33When I was living in Beijing in June 2002, the world was consumed with the SARS. People around the world were scared, but it was about the time that the all clear was sounded that I remember seeing an article referring to the fact that 50,000 people had already been killed in auto accidents.
Statistically that was huge considering the fact that car ownership was 10% of the U.S. at the time.
and unfortunately, as this China Daily article suggests, things haven’t changed much in the last 5 years.
Perhaps these Raised Crosswalks would help?
