With so much going on in China, and only a limited amount of bandwidth, I have created this weekly post to highlight articles that I feel are (1) important, (2) relevant, and (3) interesting.

This week there are 4 articles that I have chosen to highlight as each are quite interesting, they are all relevant, and there are issues within each that I think you the reader should be aware of.

Wahaha Presents Chinese Business Wisdom Amid Economic Crisis
It wasn’t so long ago that Mr. Zong frm Wahaha was embroiled in a nasty JV spat with Danone, and was be raked over the coals. After reclaiming rights to his products though, Danone apparently didn’t complete the process of moving the trademark into the JV Vehicle, he is now out given advice on how to build a business and survive the downturn.

China’s Team of Rivals
With the NPCC now in full force, the article is a great read on what is going on behind the scenes. China’s one party rule is in many ways an efficient system for getting things done, but the various factions that lie under the surface are also one of the greatest hurdles.

Twitter Jumped the Shark This Week
A brilliant article on how difficult it can be to keep up with all the various social network platforms, and how it is changing our world’s. has nothing to do with doing business in China per se, but a great article none the less.
