Wouldn’t it be a minor miracle to see the very people who protested so much in the West to put their money where their mouth is, follow the torch to Wenchuan, and do something constructive?

I support your brilliant and inspiring idea, hope you can write thje Olympic organizers. I’m 7th generation overseas Chinese and I’m very concerned both about the importance of the historic Olympics and about the sad earthquake tragedy.

There is one problem at this time: There is no road to Wenchuan until they are fixed.

As far as I know and from what I have read on various blogs, student visas are also not being issued anymore till mid-october. Any student whose current student visa expires anytime until october also has to leave China and get a new visa to come back in.

Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer from an F visa to an X visa (student) within China and not have to leave the country to get it activated? I know this used to be ok, but with the new rules… just not sure if it’s a gamble.

I am currently in the States and will return to China mid-June. My multiple entry F visa expires July 20th. It seems going back to language study is my only option right now, which is fine, need to brush up on the ole characters!

These Visa Notification Forms for an F visa; I assume the business in China would have to acquire these from the MFA in their province?

I can’t seem to find a source for those anywhere or any information on how to get one.
