There are few people in the media that irritate me more than Lou Dobbs, but this 3 minute clip does a good job of packaging the fact that the recent weakness in US auto has begun to attract a more serious look from Chinese investors.
It is something that was once framed to me in a meeting with one auto supplier who said that “there will be no 3rd tier American suppliers left”, and when Cerebus invested in Chrysler (with several Chinese suitors in the mix), I figured it was only a matter of time.. and perceived value.
